Elephants parading through the lobby of your hotel? Now, that's a BIG surprise! But look closely and you will see the family standing between my arms!  In my first visit to Zambia in 2010, this very same family appeared out of nowhere from behind me just to get into this picture! That kind of magic is normal for me in Africa, but even that miracle is just the beginning!

Please watch this video made by one of my beloved students, Beth Hawkins, who came on the safari with me in 2015.  If you love and want to protect elephants, grab some tissue, because if their beauty and majesty doesn't bring tears to your eyes, you won't get to learn to "hear" them.  That faculty is only opened by a sense of reverence, awe, grace, and undying love.  Do you love them the way I do?

https://youtu.be/SAVE-OUR-ELEPHANTS

This is no normal year for the Sacred Harmony Safari!  At long last, Chikunto Safari Lodge is OPEN!  For those of you who have waited for years for our favorite guide, Josephat, to open this unbelievably secluded tent camp in the very heart of South Luangwa National Park with the help of his partner, Jens Chikunto, the camp is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!

And my students are invited to TAKE OVER the entire incredibly private tent camp!!!  We can have it ALL TO OURSELVES if you book now!   So we'll start our adventure in a completely secluded and magical camp, where lions, leopards, giraffe, and elephants could very well be on your DOORSTEP morning, noon, and night!   A private deck will give us the luxury to dance, pray, meditate, and do "readings" on our animals at home around an open fire under the morning sun or the stars.  A private chef will be catering to your every wish, and Josephat, one of the most celebrated guides in Africa, will guide us in the science and behavior of African animals as well as support me as I teach you to touch the heart and soul of the wild animal Kingdom--including the wild soul in YOU!

But that's just the beginning! Join us for this ELEPHANT PARTY!  In this WHISPER WITH THE WILD safari, the first of its kind--of the elephant kind-- I invite you to Mfuwe Lodge where Queen Wonkeytusks became famous for walking through the lobby with her family to munch on her favorite mango tree every November.   This is one of the most miraculous spectacles on earth and has completely changed how humans view elephant behavior. We will be doing everything in our power to invite the precious pachyderms back in for a Thanksgiving Party but if they have polished off the mango on their favorite tree, we'll join them outside for parties daily in their own home.

Just watch how magical this elephant parade is!

So that's something to be really grateful for! Unfortunately Wonkeytusks has passed away, and so has her daughter, Naughtytusks, who was my favorite elephant and the star of the Good Vibrations chapter in Whispers From the Wild: Listening to Voices from the Animal Kingdom was by New World Library on October 11, 2016.

Naughty's family and Wonkey's kin are the elephants that meet at "Tent Number 5" every year in South Luangwa...and push their babies very near my lap so I could admire them.  Naughty even kissed my face.  This is my first safari at Mfuwe Lodge but it has been a life-long dream of mine to watch the elephants stroll through the lobby.  Maybe it is for you, too, so this year we simply must do something special and see how up-close-and-personal my favorite family will get when I introduce them to my human friends...you!

I caught this pic when this proud new mom brought her calf to meet my trunk.  The little one retreated into the safety of her mother's four-legged shelter.  In the wild the only true danger for baby elephants is crocodiles but when they get older...man.  I was flattered that this new mom trusted me so much with her newborn.  I didn't have to "zoom" much.  They were only a few feet away.

Night safaris are especially thrilling.  Look at this amazing picture I caught of two of my favorite lions who were enjoying a romantic evening out...right in front of our truck!

But morning safaris never disappoint!  Just look at how many rare "wild dogs" played and romped around our truck!  What a rare treat this was to even get a glimpse of these elusive animals!

From there we will go to Kafunta River Lodge where you will meet Josephat, my favorite guide, also a star of the Whispers From the Wild book.

Here Joseph takes us to the resting place of his ancestors and introduces us to his "Grandma." (There is a LOT of laughter on this safari!)

Just look how close Joseph let us get to the giraffes!

Mfuwe Lodge sports the most beautiful spa I've ever seen where you will be eye-level with a party of hippos who luxuriate in their lagoon while you luxuriate in an open-air spa to receive a massage or treatment.

Meet me in the Garden of Eden!  Please watch these glorious slideshows from the 2015 Sacred Harmony Safari!  Feast your eyes on THIS:

On this private tour at Chikunto, you will be alone with Amelia and only a few other students in your very own truck alongside Josephat, a senior expert guide and one of Africa's best.  At Mfuwe Lodge your guide will be Josephat's nephew, Molanga, also a  wise loving guide and now a blossoming student of Animal Communication. In the first ever humane photo safari lead by a globally recognized animal intuitive, Amelia will draw the animals near in order to teach you how to talk to them and actually hear them “speak.” She can light the fire of your own intuition and demonstrate that when even lions and leopards are approached with adoration, silent awe, respect, reverence, and tenderness, telepathic ability is not a God-given gift, but a learned skill available to all of us.

NOTE: All participants will be invited to bring a photograph of one of their beloved animals to practice reading and swapping with other participants.  Pictured here, Annabelle, (Honorary Canine Chairman of Ark Angel, and creator of her own division, "Bark Angel") showed her wild side back home when she disguised herself as a dangerous bee for Halloween.  But a picture never lies!  And I can teach you all how to "read" photographs, too!  But first we must take them!

So of course, photographers will have the opportunity of a lifetime here in South Luanga which has the highest lion and leopard population per square foot on earth! Here's a few pictures I took in 2016 when I tried to "call" and communicate with one of the most ravishingly beautiful animals on earth.  But first, I had to wake her up!

What's that up in that tree?  Do you see what I see?   Is that someone hiding from me?

"Can you 'hear me' my beauty?"

"Oh, Lucy!  I thought it was you! How you've grown!  I know it's your bedtime, but won't you wake up and talk to me?"

"Oh, my sweetheart, are you crabby that I woke you?"

"Sunset is coming so it's morning for you! Time to wake up and go hunting!  I'm so sorry I woke you but I crossed the world just to see you...and tell you how much I love you!  Won't you turn around so I can see your beautiful face?"

"Oh Lucy!  That's my girl!  Thank you for taking a meeting with us, and for helping me learn to use my new camera!  I'll be back next year with more new friends who will fly all the way across the world, too... just to adore you."

Lucy's mother, Alice, used to come greet my safaris every year and now Lucy is all grown up and has taken over for her mom!  Isn't she a stunner?

Ark Angel also reaches out to kids in churches.  In 2016, 2017, 2018, and  2019, we had the unique pleasure of attending The Reformed Church where I helped give the ministry based on loving the earth and her animals with the understanding that we are ALL children of God.  Here true Ark Angels, Rita and Michelle Black attended the service, sang, danced, and praised with the local women, and offered financial support to the new generation of animal protectors.

Ark Angel had the honor of contributing the glass panes for the new church windows.  As an expression of their gratitude, the magnificent choir visits our lodge one evening and gives us a private concert under the stars.  With voices like these, no one could ever doubt the existence of angels. When we returned in 2019, we got to see the new finished windows, and the choir robes my mother bought for this choir.

What former guests are saying about The Sacred Harmony Safari:

Sacred Harmony safari November 2019

There are no words only experience!!!

The adventure of a life time!!!! When I arrived at Kafunta Safari and stepped off the van that delivered us there from the airport I was almost in tears!!! I was greeted like royalty, a gentleman offered me a fresh warm wash cloth to wipe my tired hands and face. Another gentleman offered me a cool champagne glass of local lime juice that was so refreshing, and then I stepped onto the veranda!!!!! OMG!!! I was overwhelmed! Baboons we’re running around everywhere, the view of the horizon was amazing, we could see elephants coming in the distance, and a majestic sea eagle came to greet us in a distant tree!!! Wow!!!! Did I say I was overwhelmed??? Everything about Kafunta was just like nothing I’ve ever experienced. And that was just the beginning of an amazing week!

Our experience being on a safari with Amelia was so much more amazing than just sitting on a truck as tourist looking at animals. We would begin each morning with a meditation and learning to experience the animals feelings and thoughts. We learned to not just take from the animals (pictures ) but to also give to them a gift from us. We learned to approach them reverence and respect, to love them unconditionally, and tell them how beautiful they are in all ways. The animals respond with a calmness and even pose for pictures!!!!! We learn to ask them questions and then listen in quietness for their response. It is truly a holy experience!

But it’s not just about the magnificent energy of the animals, it’s also about the people! On Sunday evening, Amelia surprised us by inviting a choir from the local church to come sing for us! Their voices were a most beautiful and angelic sound that brought tears to my eyes!! I was overwhelmed! After their performance we sang and danced and prayed with them. It was magical!

A very significant event happened that brought me both great sadness, grief, and happiness. My dad passed away while I was here! I experienced his passing and spirit ascending while spending time alone in the Kafunta veranda with a dying hippo. This mighty hippo was old and accepting death, just as we all must do and which my dad did very peacefully! Yes I grieved that I was not physically there with him, but I was comforted knowing he was with me. Amelia and my 2 wonderful safari friends helped me to see that! They reminded me every day that he was with me on this most amazing trip and I knew it too!! Yes I could have been by his side, but I was there in spirit and all the animals helped me feel that!!!

The animals we saw were majestic!! Huge elephants, tall giraffes, cute (in their own way) warthogs, beautiful zebras, adorable baboons, graceful impala, loud hippos, the lion king, and majestic leopards. We saw many different kinds and colors of birds. We saw elephants taking mud baths, a baby baboon showing off for us, and an impala nursery. Both of our guides were amazing. They are so knowledgeable about the animals and their habitats, about the history, how to drive in the most dreadful conditions, and just the lay of the land. I was super impressed with their vast knowledge!

We spent an incredible afternoon at a local school with youngsters that are in a conservative program. Amelia taught them the elephant cha-cha. They picked it up immediately!! They taught us a song and dance and we all danced with them. Then we taught them some clogging and country music!! We all laughed, sang and danced. Amelia’s goal is to teach them as youngsters to work towards preserving the animals rather than allowing poaching! They get it!!!! They all drew pictures of elephants that show that they understand!! If we are to save the animals in this holy land it will be through the next generations!!!

This experience is beyond words! Africa is a holy place. There is a beautiful song by Steven Iverson that describes it beautifully “Surely God is in this place- this holy ground!!! “.

Thank you Amelia for sharing your incredible gifts of communicating with the animals, for your unstoppable and unfaltering faith, and for not only teaching us that we can do this too, but giving us confidence that we can!! I will be forever changed!

Dear Amelia,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! The week with you at Kafunta was one of the most memorable, outstanding and amazing experiences we've ever had - and definitely a life changing event for all of us! Simply unforgettable!

Thanks to your fantastic teaching methods communicating with animals and listening to them has become a matter of course for us. Even more so, we now see ourselves as their ambassadors and we will devote a significant amount of our time and energy to help protecting them going forward.

There is not one single day since we have left Africa without my thinking about the elephants we've met and how we could help and support them. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet. My brain is      constantly spinning...

Thank you Amelia for being so inspirational and helping us to get on a mission, for showing us how to not only start believing, but acting and bringing so much true meaning to our lives!

I am overjoyed to have found you and discover that we can continue joining forces, acting as white blood cells in order to make this a better world!

Many hugs and kisses,

Welcome to my world!  To a world where a billion voices rise in unison to be heard.  Can you stand up, dust off your disheveled broken wings, and realize that while you weren’t looking…you wings magically healed? It’s time to learn how to use them.  I need you all to take a big breath, and jump!  Are you an Ark Angel? If you don’t believe order and harmony can be restored on this planet, I only have one question for you:  Then why did you come?  If you have the aching desire, the burning—maybe angry, maybe tired, maybe frustrated—hope that we can still somehow save this planet, you are an Ark Angel.  If you love animals so much that they help connect you with some dim half-forgotten hope that there is a God and we have a place in His world, you are an Ark Angel. Is there anything we can do?  Individually, no.  Absolutely nothing. But together?  YES!   Together my squadron of Ark Angels can go into formation and start transforming this planet?

Wingtip to wingtip, let’s hit the skies, and fly to where we’re needed most, where animals are suffering, where their dignity and safety needs to be restored. Let’s educate the children. Let’s champion innocence and beauty in all its forms: Their soft fur, their pleading eyes, their sloppy kisses.  Let’s start to be there for those who can’t speak for themselves.  Let’s try to be there for those who need us.  This is what being an Ark Angel is all about. Nothing can bring justice but courage. Nothing can bring salvation but hope. Bring me you hope and courage.  Bring me your broken wings.  And let’s find a powerful creative way to bring positive change to this planet.  Each and every one of you is a powerful agent of change.  Let’s lift our faces to the Light and our hearts up in praise.  God is good. The world is beautiful. Let’s make it better.  Let’s save it so that future generation can enjoy the splendor of Nature and her animals.  Ark Angel is a call to arms.  Spread your wings!  Unsheath your lightening sword! Join the flock.

I decided to start with the poachers of the future, and in true Terminator style, I decided to go “back in time” to a time where these children have not yet been corrupted. Working with a tireless innovative organization called Chipembele, which teaches conservation to African children, I visited the Chiwawatala school in Mfuwe. This is rural Africa, where food and  school funding is scarce.  Here in the wildest “bush” of Africa, school is considered a rare privilege and the children who get to go to school must be sponsored, because without this sponsorship, most would sit at home in huts on dirt floors, unable to obtain the education that most other children around the world take for granted.

I had the children talk about elephants, dance as elephants, draw elephants in two-figure compositions—that means I didn’t ask the kids to draw isolated elephants, or just the “outer edges” of elephants, but elephants portrayed not as two-dimensional objects or as “menaces” which is how they’re perceived in Africa; but as living, thinking, loving beings who have relationships with each other.  The drawings were the most tender, caring, thoughtful and skillful drawings I’ve ever seen drafted by a group of fifty 8-14 year olds.  But the true success happened when I asked the kids to make up plays to act out their perceptions of elephant poaching.  This was the most incredible moment of my life.  When I asked the kids if they thought a baby elephant would miss his mother if she got killed, they all said, “No!”  Then I directed a girl to play the mommy elephant, another girl play the auntie, and a little boy to play the baby elephant.  I had one boy volunteer to be the big bad poacher!  The “poacher” shot the mommy and the auntie and killed them both.  Both girls fell to the floor.  The little African boy playing the baby elephant, shuffled over to his dead aunt and mother and just gently nudged them with his hand, pretending it was his nose.  He mourned their loss so beautifully, he made it look so sad even without words.  After this amazing pantomime, I asked the class, “NOW do you think a baby elephant would miss his mother if she got poached?” and they all said, “Yes!”  I had them yell at the top of their lungs, “Poacher-NO!  Protector-YES!  Poacher-NO! Protector-YES!”

We performed another play where a lioness got trapped in a stare.  The hero was a scout who freed her.  We then cheered, "Snare-NO!  Scout-YES! Snare-NO!  Scout-YES!" And the girls learned how to work together learning the importance of women-helping-women and bonding like lionesses in a pride.

ARK ANGEL is now an established non-profit, based in Los Angeles, California, and our doors are OPEN for contributions.  Paypal donations will enable me to continue my work in schools in Africa and around the world.  Let’s invest in a new future where tigers and elephants are still on this earth when your children grow up. Please support me as I build an "ARK" for the last remaining endangered species on this planet and educate the children who will grow up to be their keepers...or their killers.

In order to help Ark Angel, please visit the Ark Angel tab on this site.
